"The outlook is good. [We are] really confident that he'll participate in a significant role. With luck starting in Perth. If not, we'll adjust."

All-rounder Cameron Green was excluded lately from Australia's squad for their one-day international series against the Asian giants as a precautionary measure because of discomfort in his torso.

He labeled it as a "slight concern and confirmed that he'll feature in the Sheffield Shield, so will be "ideally positioned to resume bowling."

"Considerable effort has gone into developing the strategy for him to participate for the first Test as an batting and bowling option," he elaborated.

"His involvement was limited to the first two ODIs regardless. His aggressive style the willow in shorter formats, should it hinder progress for a short period, we opted to adopt a safer strategy."
